BELGIUM

While the division was entrenching in front of Bra, its soldiers from Company H, 3rd Battalion, 504th PIR, while on patrol, encountered SS soldiers on reconnaissance. After the exchange of fire, some Germans were killed, but one soldier was captured and brought back behind the American lines.
