Thomas Zinn was native of Russell in Kentucky. He was 2nd Lieutenant within the Company F of the 401st GIR of the 101st Airborne Division. He was killed on September 27th, 1944 near Grafwegen in Holland. He was in the head of a patrol when this one was taken under the fire of a German machine gun. Zinn and his Sergeant were immediately killed. Originally his body was buried near the farm where it fell before being finally buried in the American cemetery of Magraten in Holland, Plot "H", Row "7", Grave "17".
