Private First Class John Olinik was born in 1921 in New York and died in Normandy on June 16, 1944, during the airborne operation.
He was a Private First Class in Company F of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division.
His parents, Alex Olinik, a farmer, and Eva Olinik, had four children; John had two sisters and one brother.
