- John Olinik
Private First Class John Olinik was born in 1921 in New York and died in Normandy on June 16, 1944, during the airborne operation.
He was a Private First Class in Company F of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division.
His parents, Alex Olinik, a farmer, and Eva Olinik, had four children; John had two sisters and one brother.
Pfc John Olinik was awarded the Purple Heart and the French Croix de Guerre.
Pfc John Olinik is buried in the American Cemetery of Normandy in Colleville-sur-Mer, France. Plot F, Row 1, Grave 10.
