Harry LaChance was enlisted May 8, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut. He had finished two years of graduate studies and was a truck driver.
He volunteered for the paratroops and join Company F of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment where he was made Corporal.
Before jumping on the Normandy, he was made Sergeant.
