Edward A Peters was born on December 22nd, 1915 to Framingham, Massachusetts. He died on June 6th, 1944 during the operation airborne in Normandy.

He was Captain within the Company of HQ of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne.

He is the son of Edward and Virginia Peters. He has 1 older brother Robert ( 1912 ) and two sisters more young people Helen ( 1921-1922 ) and Elizabeth ( 1926 ).

Before the war, Edward Peters was responsible for a camp CCC. (Civilian Conservation Corp) They are institutions created by the government during the big repression of the 30s to supply a work to young people then in the unemployment. They lived in "camps" on barraques and the organization looked like a military organization.

He made work having finished his studies in 1936.

In 1942, he joins the armed. He enters as parachutist within the 511th PIR of the 11th Airborne. He will follow the training with this unity to the Camp McCall in North Carolina. In October, 1942, he gets married and had a child been born in August, 1943.

In December, 1943, the Christmas Day, it leaves the 511th to join the 101st Airborne in England. He integrates the Company of HQ of the 506th PIR directly connected with the commander of the Regiment, the Colonel Sink as Captain. He was of use as protection to the HQ.

He will die on June 6th, 1944, during a patrol against a nest of German machine gun. According to a man who was in his right at the time of made, he says: " let us take off from here, they are far too much for us. " He was brings down of a ball in the head which will kill him at the time.

The Captain Edward A. Peters is buried in the American cemetery of Normandy, in Colleville-sur-Mer, in France. Plot C, Row 13, Grave 43.
