Harold Ahlquistwas born on18February1919atNew Yorkand killing in action at 11 January 1945 in the Belgian Ardennes during the Battle of the Bulge.
Harold Ahlquistis the son of a Swedish immigrants. Before joining the army, Harold had finished his studies in college and worked as a truck driver.
On 8 July 1941, Harold Alquist was drafted at Fort Jay, Governors Island, New York. He volunteered for the airborne troops. He joined the Medical Detachment Company of 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
Staff Sergeant Ahlquist is interred at theLong Island Cemetery, Long Island, New York,Section J, Site 16320.
