Nicolas Moumousis was born in 1914 in Massachusetts and died in combat on June 11, 1944, in Normandy, France.
His parents were of Greek descent; his father, Fortis Moumousis, worked in cotton. His mother's name was Stamata Moumousis.
The family had seven children, with Nicolas having four brothers and two sisters.
After two years of studies, Nicolas worked in a candy store before entering the entertainment industry.
On May 20, 1942, he was drafted in New York.
He volunteered for airborne troops. He joined Company F of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment and served as a Private.
His body rests in Massachusetts.
