1st Lieutenant Albert J. Ellison was part of Company E of the 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 11th Airborne. He was killed on February 8, 1945, while attempting to rescue men trapped during the assault on Manila near Nichols Field. Earlier, on December 10, 1944, Albert J. Ellison was awarded the Bronze Star for the courage he showed during a counterattack on Japanese positions.
His body rests at the Manila American Cemetery in Manila, Philippines. Plot J, Row 4, Grave 11.
