Headquarters Company consists of 56 officers and 114 mens.

 

 

Parachute Infantry Regiment

Regimental HQ Company
=> 1 Antitank Company (12 X 57mm AT guns)
=> 1 Cannon Company (6 X 105mm Howitzers)
=> 1 Service Company
=> 1 Regimental S-2 platoon (Serves for the recognitions)

 

3 Battalions Infantry, with each:

Battalion Headquarters Company (7 Officers et 165 mens.)
=> 8x .30cal LMG
=> 4x 81mm mortars
=> 9x Bazookas

 

->1^st Battalion : Companies HQ, A (Able), B (Baker) et C (Charlie)

->2^nd Battalion : Companies HQ, D (Dog), E (Easy) et F (Fox)

->3^rd Battalion : Compagies HQ, G (George), H (How) et I (Item)

 

3 Riflemen's companies (8 Officers and 168 mens) consist

=> 1 Headquarters and 3 riflemen's sections.

=> Each riflemen's section consist:
   ->1 Mortar platoon (1 X 60mm mortars)
   ->3 Platoons (each 12 mens).

=> Every platoon possesses as armaments:
   ->1 BAR
   ->1 .30 cal LMG  (Light Machine Gun)
   ->2 .30cal carabines
   ->10 M-1 Garand Rifles

One para's team in C-47 usually a squadron is called a "Stick".  

 

Glider Infantry Regiment

Regimental HQ Company

=> 1 Service Company

=> 1 Atk Company (9 X canon 37mm remorqué et 9 X Bazookas)

 

2 Battalions Infantry

Battalion Headquarters Company (7 Officers et 165 mens.)

=> 3 X 37mm AT guns

=> 6 X 81mm mortars

=> 4 X .30cal HMGs (Light Machine Gun)

=> 6 X .30cal LMGs (Heavy Machine Gun)

=> 8 X Bazookas

 

Battalion Weapons Company (6 X 81mm mortars, 8 X .30 HMG)

 

3 riflemen's companies (8 Officers et 168 mens) each

=> 1 Headquarters et 2 riflemen's sections and one heavy platoon.

 

2 riflemen's sections consist Of 3 platoons of 12 mens:

-> 1 Sergeant

   -> 1 Lance Corporal

-> 2 Corporales

-> 8 mens

-> 10 fusils M-1 Garand

 

The heavy section is armed of:

DIVISION RECONNAISSANCE PLATOON

Consists of 3 officers and 61 mens.
Distributes it:

=> 2 recognition's section (jeeps w/.50 cal MG)
=> 1 mortar's platoon

=> 1 pioneer's platoon and demolition

 

 

AIRBORNE ANTI-AIRCRAFT – ANTI-TANK BATTALION

Consists of 35 officers and 606 mens

With 3 batteries of 8 X 57mm AT guns

And 3 batteries of 12 X .50cal MG

 

 

DIVISIONAL ARTILLERY

Consists of 133 officers and 1844 mens.

Divides up :

=> Headquarters

=> 1 Parachute Field Artillery Battalion (Light):

-> HQ & HQ Batt.

-> Service Batt.

-> 3 ou 4 Batteries possessing a total of 16 X 75mm Howitzers

=>2 Glider Field Artillery Battalion (Light) :

      -> HQ & HQ Batt.

      -> Service Batt.

      -> 3 ou 4 Batteries possessing a total of 12 X 75mm Howitzers

=> light Artillery: 1 battery of 4 X 75mm Howitzers

=> Divisional Air Section  (10 connections with the air force)

Consists of 23 officers and 469 mens

Distributes in Headquarters and service Company
