Corporal Benjamin I Kinney Jr

 

Benjamin Kinney was born June 23, 1923 in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York. He was killed 10 days before his birthday, June 13, 1944 in Normandy. 
His parents were Benjamin Sr. and Ruth. His dad was a salesman for a construction company and wrote articles in the sports section of the local newspaper. He also had a brother. 

Benjamin Kinney was incorporated May 7, 1942 in Syracuse, New York. He volunteered for the paratroopers and he joined Company F of the 507th PIR. He was promoted Corporal. 

In the years 1943 - 1944, he married. 

Corporal Benjamin Kinney is buried in the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France at Plot F, Row 18, Grave 12.
