Private Michael E. Kelly   

 

Michael E. Kelly was born in 1922 in Illinois and died in the combat on June 6, 1944 in Normandy, during the airborne operation.

 

He was Private within the Company F of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Michael E. Kelly was engaged with armed January 29, 1943 with Kalamazoo, in Michigan. Before that, he had finished 3 years of college.

Pvt Kelly is decorated with Purple Heart, of the French Croix de fer of European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star and Arrowhead, of World War II Victory Medal, the WWII Honorable Service Lapel Button. He has also its patent of Parachute, a Combat Infantryman Badge and Presidential Distinguished Unit Emblem.

 

Pvt Michael E. Kelly is buried with the American cemetery of Normandy, with Colleville-sur-Mer, in France. Plot F, Row 15, Gave 18.
