T/4 Robert F Fullom 

 

Robert F Fullom was born in 1918 in Erie, Pennsylvania and died in line of duty on June 15th, 1944 near the village of LaBonneville during the airborne operation of Normandy. He was a Technician 4th Rank within B Company of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

His father, Francis Charles Fullom was born in Pennsylvania, he was an owner of a tapestry furniture business. His mother was Hildur Lindquist. He also had a sister.

Robert Fullom joined the army on February 26th, 1942 in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. Before that, he ended his 4 years of secondary school and worked as a linotype operator. He was married to Jean H Kuhn and had a son, Eric Fullom on November 9th, 1942.

He jumped over Normandy on June 6th, 1944. His C-47 bore number 4292743, with number 38 painted on the door. He was the 9^th  para on the line.

T4 Fullom was decorated with the Purple Heart, with the Croix de guerre Française, with the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with the Bronze Service Star and Arrowhead, with the World War II Victory Medal, with the WWII Honorable Service Lapel Button.

T4 Fullom is buried in the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France at Plot ‘F’ Row ‘9’ Grave ‘30’.
