Private Kurt Dwight Busiek

Kurt Busiek was born in May 14th, 1924 in Springfield, Missouri and was killed during the fighting in January 30, 1945, in his unit arrempted to cross the Our River.

His father, Urban J Busiek was pediatrician? His mother was Erma M Raushkolb. The family has 4 children. Kurt has two brothers and one sister.

After his enlistment, Kurt followinf the training at Camp Fannin, Texas before volunteering for the Airborne troops.He joined Company E, 507th PIR at Fort Benning in Georgia. He became a medics.

Pvt Busiek was killed while bringing aid to Sgt L L Johnston, Pfc G L Denham and the Sgt Joseph Schramm, all survived to the war.

The Private D Kurt Busiek buried in the cemetery of Springfield in Missouri.
