Sergeant Oval Gray Amyx

Oval Gray Amyx was born in 1915 in Kentucky and was killed in action during the battle July 2, 1944 in Normandy, France.

Oval Amyx was the son of James « Tony » Amyx and Edna Amyx. His parnts were farmers. Thay lived with the sister and the father of James in Magoffin County, Kentucky.

Oval Amyx enlisted January 30, 1940 in Kentucky and entered a Signal Company.

Than, He was volunteered for the paratroopers and was sent to F Company, 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

His body rests in the cemetery of Magoffin County, Kentucky.
